For Immediate Release: Victor, Idaho ~ Teton Valley Foundation‘s Music on Main is gearing up for the summer. And for the first time ever, Music on Main is starting the music a little early!
Sponsored by Pierre’s Theatre and Teton Valley Cabins, Music on Main will present five all-ages shows at Pierre’s Theatre throughout the month of May on Thursday nights. Bands are from around the region and range from bluegrass to indie rock to garage rock to Americana.
“As we are dedicated to keeping our opener sets for the summer concerts at Victor City Park to local music as much as possible, Music on Main ends up turning down many rising acts who are not quite ready for the headliner slot. This May series is a pilot program that I hope proves itself to be a great way for all ages to enjoy the off-season and to get more bands more exposure. This collaboration with Pierre’s Theatre is a great way to extend our mission for the summer concerts which is to provide an affordable experience to all ages with new music in downtown Victor,” Tibby Plasse, Music on Main Program Director said.
“The quality of music coming for May is really exciting. Lost Canyons was recently voted Bozeman’s Best Local Rock Band, Floating Witch’s Head is out of Boise, and a garage rock project concocted by Travis Ward, with Michael Mitchell and Eric Gilbert, Taylor Burlage is this really impressive and soulful Americana vocalist, North Fork Crossing will certainly help the jamband and bluegrass lovers survive mud season, and The Sleepless Elite is an indie outfit from Livingston that is really going to surprise folks, their start began with a mentorship under Ben Deily, co-founder of the Lemonheads. No doubt, the May series is definitely leaning into rock. There’s a lot of pent-up energy to release after winter and Pierre’s is a great venue for something special,” Plasse added.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to co-host this music series with the TVF and the Teton Valley Cabins. To have year round music programming in the heart of downtown Victor on Main Street is something I’ve dreamed of since purchasing Pierre’s in 2021”, said Pierre’s Theatre owner Anne Fish this week. With updated sound equipment and lights recently installed, Fish said the theatre is the perfect venue for these intimate sets. “Come on down to “thaw out” for 5 Thursdays in May”, said Fish.
