About

Pierre’s Theatre first opened in 1951 as the 225-seat “New Paramount Theater.” Later it simply became known as the “Paramount Theater”, but in a few years would close due to lack of patrons who were all home watching TV.

The building was purchased by the Egbert family in 1963 and converted to an old-fashioned melodrama theater “Pierre’s Playhouse” which lasted for decades. The theater closed down at the end of the summer of 2006 and remained closed until it was reopened in February 2010 once again, this time as a movie theater. In between closure and reopening, the building was refurbished as the only indoor theater in Teton Valley, Idaho.

It closed, again, in the summer of 2020. At the end of 2021, Anne Fish purchased Pierre’s with a vision to keep the Teton Valley cultural icon at the heart of Victor alive. She wants to make Pierre’s: “A community gathering spot for Teton Valley… a place of culture and entertainment… and joy!

After the challenging times of the pandemic, the thought of having people together again, enjoying performances, films and events made everyone’s hearts sing. That’s why the programming for 2022 and beyond is so important to Anne and those who are helping her bring Pierre’s back to life for the next 70 years!
