With upright bass/guitar player Brandon Day Memphis-raised singer-songwriter Kelly Hunt paints stories as old and offbeat as her Depression-era tenor banjo and parlor guitar, reimagining traditions of folk, blues & old-time music in a style that hovers beyond the constraints of genre à la Anaïs Mitchell & Gillian Welch. Hunt’s debut album, Even The Sparrow, was released in May 2019 and named as a finalist for the International Folk Music Awards “Album of the Year.” Her sophomore album, Ozark Symphony, was recorded with Grammy-winning musician & producer Dirk Powell and released on Compass Records in October 2023. Kelly has toured nationally and internationally since 2018 and has opened for the likes of Josh Ritter, Pokey LaFarge, Sarah Harmer, John McCutcheon, and The Gibson Brothers.

“Kelly Hunt sings with the lilting cadence of a folksinger born somewhere far away, sometime long ago.”
ROBERT CRAWFORD [ROLLING STONE COUNTRY]

“Standing shoulder to shoulder with contemporaries like Gillian Welch and Rhiannon Giddens…folk music harking back to the stripped-down sounds of Leadbelly, Robert Johnson and Woody Guthrie.”

Hilary Camino is a vocalist with local bands Whiskey Mornin’ and Freda Felcher, and a music therapist at St. John’s Health. Freda Felcher’s debut EP of original material, Human Love, was released in 2018. Hilary uses songwriting in her work with patients and for herself as a source of reflection and connection. Her music imbues intriguing structures rooted in folk music with warm poetic lines. While songwriting has been a constant in her life, Hilary looks forward to releasing her debut solo EP this fall.

“Hilary’s enunciated crooning is the most significant stamp on Human Love, taking a page from Mary J. Blige’s influential prowess as well as Fatima’s modern-day stylings. ~Buckrail

Aaron Davis

aarondavismusic.com
Aaron Davis is “an essential force in the Americana roots music scene in Wyoming” (KHOL 89.1FM). Davis has spearheaded multi-act, artist-forward collectives including The WyoFolk Project (compilation album and tour in 2023) and WYOmericana Caravan Tours (2013-2022). Aaron is chiefly known as co-founder of national touring act Screen Door Porch (“impressive musical discovery” ~Paste Magazine), as engineer-producer-session player at his Three Hearted Recording Studio in Hoback, and for the eclectic quartet Aaron Davis & The Mystery Machine.

As a soloist, he stages his songs with poetic amplitude and a deep well of old-time and modern sonic textures—voice, acoustic & resonator & lap steel guitars, open back banjo, harmonica, and electrified cigar box percussion. Nearly two decades of touring the country and staying true to the write-and-record troubadour sensibility has led the press to describe Aaron as “a combination that goes down like top-shelf bourbon” (Austin Chronicle) with “a searing slide guitar” (Country Weekly), “a particularly standout approach that mixes poetry, groove and roughness” (Lonestar Time), and a “truly phenomenal songwriter” (Americana UK). His twelve release of original material, Medicine EP (2023), was recorded with longtime collaborators in Austin.
